VII. CALL TO PUBLIC:

Description: Requests to speak to the Governing Board pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.02.H - The Board may make an open call to the public during a public meeting, subject to reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions, to allow individuals to address the public body on any issue within the jurisdiction of the public body. Members of the public will be limited to three minutes each. However, if the number of individuals who have requested to speak exceeds twenty people, the Board President may limit comments to two minutes each. At the conclusion of an open call to the public, individual board members may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Board, may ask staff to review a matter, or may ask that a matter be put on the future agenda. Members of the Board shall not discuss or take legal action on matters raised during an open call to the public unless the matters are properly notice for discussion and legal action.

The attorney may appear in-person, virtually, or via telephone.

VIII.B.6. Action Item: The Governing Board may take action in response to the independent investigator's findings, including, but not limited to, approving direction given to legal counsel as referenced above.

VIII.B.7. Executive Session Re: Legal Advice and Direction: The Governing Board may convene in executive session, pursuant to A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(4), to consult with its attorney, consider its position, and instruct its attorney regarding the Board's position concerning grievance filed against Governing Board; and 2) Possible next steps in response to an employee grievance. The attorney may appear in-person, virtually, or via telephone.

VIII.B.8. Action Item: The Governing Board may take action in response to grievance presented by an employee, including, but not limited to, approving direction given to legal counsel as referenced above.
