Description:

12. Information Item: Updates to the Employee Handbook - Non Duty Days

Description:
Each year our 223 employees receive Non Duty days. However, the policy of use for these Non-Duty days has not been explicitly described in our Employee Handbook. To ensure all 223 employees understand this expectation, I am proposing we add this language and explanation to our Handbook.
Non - Duty Days Employees working on a 12 month basis receive "Non-Duty" days each year. The number of Non-Duty days received varies each year based on the 223 working calendar. These days must be used from July 1st through June 30th of the contractual year as long as it is approved by the employee's supervisor. Non-duty days must be taken in the calendar year received and do not accumulate. Employees hired after the 10th working day of the 223 calendar will not receive Non-Duty days for their first year of employment with the district. |
