2. CLOSED SESSION
Description:
The Committee will now adjourn into executive session pursuant to the following sections of the Texas Open Meetings Act: Security personnel or devices: Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.076, Security infrastructure: Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.089. Personnel: Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.074(a)(1), Discussion of Identifiable Information Concerning a Public-School Student Tex. Gov’t Code §§ 551.082(a)(1), and Consultation with attorney: Tex. Gov’t Code § 551.071. The Committee will take no final action, make no decisions, nor cast any votes while in executive session. The presiding officer may reconvene into closed session at any time during the regular School Safety and Security meeting.

3. RESULTS OF CLOSED MEETING

4. PUBLIC COMMENT
Description:
The School Safety and Security Committee encourages comments about the district from members of the public. Anyone who has signed up to speak in advance of the meeting in accordance with the Committee procedures may do so at this time. The Committee asks that each participant’s comments pertain to District business and be no longer than five minutes. For any member of the public who is accompanied by a translator, your time will be doubled as required by law. Remember that the Committee may not discuss or act upon any issues that are not posted on our agenda. In addition, the Committee has adopted policies to provide prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and concerns for employees, students or their parents, and the general public. Copies of our District policies and procedures on public comment and filing complaints are available on the district website at www.lwisd.org.
