March 16, 2021 at 6:30 PM - Special Called Meeting

1. Pursuant to Governor Abbott's Temporary Suspension of Open Meetings Laws issued on March 16, 2020, this Special Called Board Meeting of the West ISD Board of Trustees will be conducted via video conference and telephone call. The video conference will be audible to the Board and public and allow for two-way communication. The Board of Trustees will not be physically present at one location, but a Quorum will be required for the meeting on the video conference or phone. 

The public may access this virtual meeting via the link found on the calendar on the West ISD website at www.westisd.net. A link to the online agenda is also available under the "Board" header on this same website. 

Any public comments must be submitted between 8:00 AM on Monday, March 15, and 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, by emailing the comments to publiccomment@westisd.net. All public comments shall be submitted to this email address and will be read to the Board of Trustees for consideration. 

2. Call to Order and verification that a quorum of Board Members is present, that this meeting has been duly called, and that Notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.

5. Audience.

6. Report. Recommended updates to the West ISD Return to Learn and Play COVID-19 Risk Mitigation plans in response to Texas Governor Abbott's Executive Order GA-32. [District Goals #1-5]

7. Action. Consideration and possible action by the Board to approve the recommended updates to the West ISD Return to Learn and Play COVID-19 Risk Mitigation plans. [District Goals #1-5]

8. Executive Session. Adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code §551.071 (Consulting privately with the Board’s attorney), §551.129 (Consulting privately with the Board’s attorney telephonically), and §551.074 (Personnel, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee, specifically to discuss).

9. Adjournment.

If, during the course of the meeting, any discussion of any items on the agenda should be held in Executive or Closed Session, the Board will convene in such Executive or Closed Session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code §551.001 et seq.
