1. Pursuant to Governor Abbott's Temporary Suspension of Open Meetings Laws issued on March 16, 2020, this Special Called Board Meeting of the West ISD Board of Trustees will be conducted via video conference and telephone call. The video conference will be audible to the Board and public and allow for two-way communication. The Board of Trustees will not be physically present at one location, but a Quorum will be required for the meeting on the video conference or phone.
The public may access this virtual meeting via the link found on the calendar on the West ISD website at www.westisd.net. A link to the online agenda is also available under the "Board" header on this same website. Any public comments must be submitted between 8:00 AM on Monday, April 12, and 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, by emailing the comments to publiccomment@westisd.net. All public comments shall be submitted to this email address and will be read to the Board of Trustees for consideration. |

10. Action. Consideration and possible action by the Board to consider the Resolution to reauthorize West ISD's designation as a District of Innovation (DOI). Note: The original DOI plan was approved on May 10, 2017, and amended on April 8, 2020. The purpose of this action item is to reauthorize the previously approved DOI plan (and amendment) for an additional five years. [District Goals #1-5]

11. Action. Consideration and possible action by the Board to approve the recommended updates to the West ISD Return to Learn and Play COVID-19 Risk Mitigation plans. [District Goals #1-5]

12. Consideration and possible action by the Board to approve Thursday, May 27, 2021, as the last day of the 2020-2021 school year for all students. Note: With this change, West ISD's 2020-2021 instructional minutes would total 75,690 minutes. The state requirement is 75,600 minutes. [District Goals #3-5]

13. Action. Consideration and possible action by the Board to adopt the Resolution Amending Authorized Representatives for the Texas Local Government Investment Pool (TexPool). [District Goal #5]
