May 27, 2020 at 6:30 PM - Special Called Meeting

1. Pursuant to Governor Abbott's Temporary Suspension of Open Meetings Laws issued on March 16, 2020, this Regular Board Meeting of the West ISD Board of Trustees will be conducted via video conference and telephone call. The video conference will be audible to the Board and public and allow for two-way communication. The Board of Trustees will not be physically present at one location, but a Quorum will be required for the meeting on the video conference or phone. A recording of the meeting will be available on the West ISD website under "Board Archived Meetings and Agendas" and on the West ISD YouTube Channel.

Any public comments must be submitted between 8:00 AM on Tuesday, May 26, and 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, by emailing the comments to publiccomment@westisd.net. All public comments shall be submitted to this email address and will be read to the Board of Trustees for consideration.

8. Action. Consideration and possible action by the Board to approve the Request for Proposal (RFP) method for the procurement of alternate Uniform Group Health Care and Wellness Coverage Programs and Plans. [District Goals #2, 3, and 5]

9. Action. Consideration and possible action by the Board to adopt a new Shared Services Arrangement with Lorena ISD appointing West ISD as the Fiscal Agent for the purpose of application and use of grant funds relating to Career and Technical Education (CTE). [District Goals #1, 3, and 5]

10. Executive Session.  Adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code §551.071 (Consulting privately with the Board’s attorney), §551.129 (Consulting privately with the Board’s attorney telephonically), §551.074 (Personnel, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee, specifically to discuss), and §551.072 (Deliberating the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property).
