2. Public Comments/Open Community Forum - The public is invited to sign up and speak on matters of concern. The Board welcomes comments during the public comment part of the meeting.  However, in accordance with the Texas Opens Meeting Act, Board Members cannot discuss or vote on issues not posted on the agenda.  Please limit comments to 5 minutes per speaker (BED Local).  Sign in with recording secretary.

5.1. S.B. 546 Requirement for 3-point seat belts. Current buses need 3-point seat belts.

13-01 and 14-R1 Small Bus.  Looking at selling since we just bought two.

5.2. The auditorium stage has been resurfaced with matte black to help with lighting.

5.3. We are requesting quotes to repair the auditorium ceiling.

5.4. The technology department has done a great job posting instructional syllabi and library book inventories on our school web page.

5.5. 2025-2026 Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations Plan Review Complete.

5.6. The School Safety Committee Meeting was held on September 16th.

5.7. Elementary had an Intruder Detection Audit on September 17th.  There were no findings. Middle School had an Intruder Detection Audit on October 2nd. There were no findings. 

5.8. Staff Professional Development on September 22nd and November 3rd.

5.9. The School Health Advisory Committee met on September 30th.

5.10. School Holiday on October 13th

5.11. Teacher Incentive Allotment submission due October 16th.

5.12. Safe Supportive Schools Team/ Threat Assessment Committee Meeting on Wednesday, October 8th.

5.13. The enrollment snapshot is October 31 for reclassification in February.
