1. Roll Call, establishment of quorum, and call to order:

3. Audience Participation [Policy BED(Local)]
At this time, the Board of Trustees will hear from members of the public who wish to speak.  Speakers will have two minutes to address the Board.  For clarification purposes, the open public forum is not a dispute resolution forum.  Speakers may address the Board on any issue.  However, due to posting requirements of the Open Meetings Act, the Board is prohibited from responding to a presentation that is not directly related to a posted agenda item.
 

4. Public Hearing:
The public is invited to attend a public hearing to discuss the budget and proposed tax rate for the 26-27 school year.

5. Action Item:

5.A. Consider adopting the budget for the 26-27 school year.

5.B. Consider an I&S tax rate above the minimum I&S debt rate calculated under Texas Education Code section 44.004(c)(5)(A)(ii)(b)

5.C. Consider and adopt Resolution #363-08-26 to approve the proposed property tax rate adoption of an M & O tax rate of $ 0.639700 and an I & S rate of $ 0.142905

 

5.D. Consider the 2026 Certified Tax Roll

5.E. Consider resolution # 364-08-26 - fund balance policies

5.F. Budget amendments

5.G. Consider accepting the Port of Corpus Christi Grant to develop a Maritime Academy.
