1. Call To Order
"This meeting of the Mt. Pleasant Independent School District is called to order. Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that this meeting has been duly called and that Notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.

We extend a warm welcome to everyone present for tonight’s meeting. This is a regular meeting, and all items that will be discussed or voted on this evening have been posted as required by State Law.
 
As the Mount Pleasant Board of Trustees, we are here to set goals, listen to reports of the superintendent, approve budgets, contracts, and personnel appointments, and make policy for the district.  We are not here to make management decisions or solve the problems of individuals. Management is the responsibility of the superintendent, however, the Board does oversee management.
 
This is a meeting in public, not a meeting of the public.  You are our guests and you are welcome to observe and listen.  The Board shall not tolerate disruption of the meeting by members of the audience.
