Discussion and possible action on a resolution of the Board of Trustees of Leakey Independent School District declaring a condition of financial exigency with respect to the retrofit of three-point seat belts on six non-equipped buses in the District's school bus fleet, based on a finding that estimated retrofit costs of $162,500–$186,500 materially exceed the combined estimated market value of $64,000–$99,000 for those vehicles; directing the Superintendent to adopt a seat belt use policy for currently compliant buses (Bus #11 and Bus #14); and directing the Superintendent to develop a phased bus replacement plan.

11.G.2. 2027 Budget Planning — The Board will conduct a budget workshop in May (date TBD) to review preliminary certified property values, maximum compressed tax rates (MCR), and enrollment projections. The Board will also conduct a needs assessment to identify shared goals and priorities.

11.G.3. Presentation of the District's Debt Transparency Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2025. School Districts are annually required to compile and report on specific debt/financial information as of the last day of the preceding fiscal year (CFA-Legal).
