6.D. May 4, 2024 School Board Trustee Election - A drawing to determine the order of candidates' names on the ballot was held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 5:30pm. The notice was posted on the District bulletin board and website on Thursday, February 22, 2024; candidates were notified by email the same day.

7. Consent Agenda

7.A. Consider and Approve a Resolution to Order Election for School Board Trustee to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024. There are two expiring terms available and three applicants.

7.B.  Consider and Approve the Minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of the Board of Trustees of Leakey ISD that was held on January 22, 2024.

7.C. Consider and Approve payment of the bills and invoices for the time period 01/18/2024 to 02/21/2024.

7.D. Consider and Approve a request from the Real Central Appraisal District to issue taxpayer refunds that have resulted from changes in ownership, corrections, changes to values, or changes to exemptions.

11.F.1. The Texas State Comptroller has released the Preliminary Results of the 2023 Property Value Study. The 2023 values assessed by the Real Central Appraisal District have been determined invalid (again) and have not been certified. PVS data will be presented for the tax years 2020 through 2023, along with an analysis showing the amount of property tax dollars lost as a result of undervalued property in the District.

11.F.2. Information: 2024-2025 Budget Preparation has begun. The administration will be working throughout the next couple of months to prepare a working draft of the proposed budget that will be presented to the Board at a Budget Workshop to be held in May. Variables such as projected enrollment, property tax revenue, and payroll will be discussed and reviewed as part of this process. Stay tuned.
