I. CALL TO ORDER
Statement of Emergency: The COVID-19 pandemic crisis has necessitated the widespread closure of public and private facilities to stem an imminent threat to public health and safety. Based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, local health authorities, and federal, state, and local governmental authorities, RISD announced the cancellation of schools beginning on March 23, 2020, following the completion of the previously planned closure for spring break. Time is of the Essence and the Board of Trustees must meet to consider critical actions needed during the closure to continue certain essential operations, provide for the continued meal delivery to needy students, continue instructional delivery, and to continue to pay employees. |

IV. CLOSED MEETING
Description:
If during the course of the meeting, the Board of Trustees should determine that a closed session is required, the Board will conduct a closed meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, including but not limited to Section 551.071 - Consultation with Attorney; 551.072 - Real Property; 551.074 - Personnel Matters; 551.076 - Security Devices; 551.082 - School Children / District Employees / Disciplinary Matter or Complaint; 551.0821 - Personally Identifiable Student Information; 551.084 - Investigation.
