14.A. Pursuant to §551.071, Tex. Govt. Code, the Board may consult with the College District's attorneys to seek their advice about a matter in which the duty of the attorneys to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts.
Pursuant to §551.071, Tex. Govt. Code, the Board may consult with the College District's attorneys about pending or contemplated litigation or settlement offers including the following matters: Elsa Anaya, Stephen Babb, Thomas Brown, Rebecca DeLeon, Jude Manzo, Rayford Richardson, School of Excellence, and Project Quest. Pursuant to § 551.072, Tex. Gov’t. Code, the Board may deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property. Pursuant to §551.074, Tex. Govt. Code, the Board may deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee(s); including Patricia Major, District Director of Internal Audit. Any action on these matters will be taken in Open Session |
