Description:  Announcement by the Board President whether a quorum is present and that notice of the meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551 as required by law.

Description:  Richard Scales has returned to FISD at Florence Middle School in a big way. He has already contributed to the campus culture by bringing positivity and high expectations across the board. He has jumped right in to both Math and Reading team meetings, with ideas and building structure to support students needing intervention. His impact was evident at the pep rally where he had students up and cheering, singing the fight song, and being an all around good role model for those around him. 

Description:  The Board encourages comments about the district from members of the public.  Anyone who has signed up to speak in advance of the meeting in accordance with the Board procedures may do so at this time.  The Board asks that each participant's comments pertain to district business and be no longer than 5 minutes.  For any member of the public who is accompanied by a translator, your time will be doubled as required by law.  Remember that the Board may not discuss or act upon any issues that are not posted on our agenda.  In addition, the Board has adopted policies to provide prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and concerns for employees, students or their parents, and the general public.  Copies of our district policies and procedures on public comments and filing complaints are available on the district website. 

Description:  Mr. Kirkpatrick will review the A-F ratings results for the district and all campuses. The focus will be on the various domains that make up the rating. The final analysis of the Texas Academic Performance Report which breaks down each individual test will be provided upon release from the TEA in December or January, depending on when it is received.

Description:  Mr. Kirkpatrick will provide an overview of maintenance projects being considered by the district. 

Description:  VLK Architects will donate $2500-$3500 toward the Trunk or Treat event to purchase candy and/or pumpkins.

Description:  Joeris General Contractors will donate $2500 worth of candy for the FISD Trunk or Treat event.

Description:  Gerald Nunn Electric has donated $1000 to be used for supplies for the FISD Trunk or Treat event.

Description:  A local HVAC company wishes to donate the labor and materials to air condition the press box at Stampede Stadium. He wishes to remain anonymous.

Description:  The attached SHAC members are presented for consideration and possible approval for the 2025-2026 school year.

Description:  As the governing body for a taxing unit within Williamson County, the Florence ISD Board of Trustees may nominate an individual to serve on the Williamson County Appraisal (WCAD) Board. Information about the position is attached for review. If the board opts not to nominate an individual, no action is required for this item. 

Description:  FISD has had no resignations or new hires since the last board meeting.
