IV.A. Teacher of the Month for August 2025
Presenter:
Rick Kirkpatrick
Description:
Richard Scales has returned to FISD at Florence Middle School in a big way. He has already contributed to the campus culture by bringing positivity and high expectations across the board. He has jumped right in to both Math and Reading team meetings, with ideas and building structure to support students needing intervention. His impact was evident at the pep rally where he had students up and cheering, singing the fight song, and being an all around good role model for those around him.

V. Public Comment
Description:
The Board encourages comments about the district from members of the public. Anyone who has signed up to speak in advance of the meeting in accordance with the Board procedures may do so at this time. The Board asks that each participant's comments pertain to district business and be no longer than 5 minutes. For any member of the public who is accompanied by a translator, your time will be doubled as required by law. Remember that the Board may not discuss or act upon any issues that are not posted on our agenda. In addition, the Board has adopted policies to provide prompt and equitable resolution of complaints and concerns for employees, students or their parents, and the general public. Copies of our district policies and procedures on public comments and filing complaints are available on the district website.

VI.A. 2024-2025 A-F Results

Description:
Mr. Kirkpatrick will review the A-F ratings results for the district and all campuses. The focus will be on the various domains that make up the rating. The final analysis of the Texas Academic Performance Report which breaks down each individual test will be provided upon release from the TEA in December or January, depending on when it is received.
