Description:
Seniors Jessica Chambers and Alex Smith will be recognized for winning the State Championship in the Focus on Children event at the FCCLA State Conference for their "Beautiful You" presentation. "Beautiful You" is a program for young girls to help them increase their self esteem and sense of inner beauty. Jessica and Alex will compete at nationals in Chicago this summer.

Description:
Mr. Biggerstaff recommends that a salary freeze for all school personnel be approved by the Board with the provision that the Attorney General's pending opinion be followed regarding step increases for professional personnel on the Sanger ISD Teacher Compensation Plan.

5.B.1.b. Hiring freeze for all personnel except contract personnel in essential areas
Description:
The District is not adding new personnel with the exception of an English teacher at SMS and an assistant principal at LTHS. The only open positions being filled are those in essential academic areas. The Board may choose to formally vote on a hiring freeze or give instruction to central administration.
