Description:

V.A.3. Quarterly Investment Report
Description:
Chapter 2256, Government Code Public Funds Investment Act requires the district to provide a written investment report.
The report contains operating funds not required by the code at the request of the school board. The district maintains three investment pool accounts with nominal funds as a reference for comparisons only (Lone Star, Texas Class, and TexPool). The district places funds in investment accounts to assure safety and liquidity first and maximized yield next.

Description:
The quarterly Permanent School Fund Report is on the agenda calendar for November. The report is prepared by the Rains County Auditor, Tammi Byrd.

Description:
This report, prepared by Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP, provides information to the Board regarding Rains County Appraisal District's Property Value Study.
The report is provided to the Board in this packet for review.

V.B.1. Consider and Approve the 2026-2027 Targeted Improvement Plan for Rains Intermediate
Description:
Rains Intermediate is required to develop and implement a Targeted Improvement Plan (TIP) to address identified areas of student performance and campus accountability. The plan outlines specific strategies, measurable goals, and action steps intended to improve student achievement, strengthen instructional practices, and monitor progress toward established performance targets.
The 2026-2027 plan was presented during a public meeting on October 26, 2026, and discussed during the public hearing on November 9, 2026. The plan is being submitted to the Board of Trustees for consideration and approval.
