5.a.1. Project Ziva
Description:
Project Ziva is a proposed 600,000-square-foot manufacturing facility representing a $65 million capital investment. The project involves Bath Concepts LLC, a Libertyville-based bath manufacturing and service company planning to relocate and expand its operations. The company intends to consolidate 465 existing jobs and create an additional 100 jobs within the first 36 months of operation. The District, along with Fremont School District 79, was approached to participate in a proposed property tax abatement to support the project. Under Section 18-165 of the Illinois Property Tax Code (35 ILCS 200/18-165), local taxing bodies may abate a portion of property taxes to encourage industrial development.

5.a.5. Electrical Construction Change Order
Description:
During excavation for the cafeteria renovation, an undocumented 12.5kV underground electrical feeder was discovered beneath the building that was not shown on the original 1958 construction drawings. To safely complete the project, the existing underground feeder will be abandoned and replaced with new 15kV electrical feeders installed in rooftop conduit between the main substation and Substations 2 and 3.
Relocating the electrical service to the roof allows construction to continue safely while avoiding the existing underground line. The cost of this change order is $257,389.35 |
