Description:
The board encourages comments from citizens. Anyone wishing to speak, either as an individual or as a representative of a group, may do so at this time. The Board asks that the discussion pertain to public education issues and be 3 minutes in length. Please reserve comments relating to personnel for discussion with the appropriate district supervisor. The Board must not discuss subjects presented in public comment. The Board may respond in two ways:

7. Opportunity for public testimony regarding, and consideration and possible action to approve, Riesel Independent School District’s 2026–2027 Annual Certification of Compliance with Certain Laws, as required by Texas Education Code §39.008 and enacted by Senate Bill 12.

8. Consider and take possible action to accept the Certification of Unopposed Candidates and adopt an Order of Cancellation declaring the unopposed candidates elected and canceling Riesel ISD’s Board of Trustees election scheduled for November 3, 2026.
