2. Public comment

Description:

The board encourages comments from citizens. Anyone wishing to speak, either as an individual or as a representative of a group, may do so at this time. The Board asks that the discussion pertain to public education issues and be 3 minutes in length. Please reserve comments relating to personnel for discussion with the appropriate district supervisor. The Board must not discuss subjects presented in public comment. The Board may respond in two ways:
1. A statement of specific factual information given in response to an inquiry
2. A recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry

Any deliberation of a decision that a subject shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on the agenda or a subsequent meeting; Texas Gov't Code 551.042

Title I, A $105,000 (estimate)

Purpose: Provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education and close educational achievement gaps.

Tentative Plans: Provide paraprofessionals, interventionists, professional development, and instructional materials

Title II, A $20,000 (estimate)

Purpose: Improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers, principals…(etc)

Tentative Plans: Provide stipends to high need areas, professional development, and instructional coaching.

Title IV, A $10,000 (estimate)

Purpose: Improve the academic achievement of all students by increasing the capacity of LEAs, schools, and communities to ….

Tentative Plans: REAP into Title I , A. Provide paraprofessionals, interventionists.
