Administration is sharing an overview of summer projects.

Description:  On the agenda for discussion tonight is a draft of the 27/28 school calendar. We have collaborated with D155 to align holiday breaks and the start and end of the student school year to the greatest extent possible. The calendar had been shared with CLETA officers prior to tonight. The calendar will be brought back in October for approval. 

Description:  TJA conducted a hazardous route study at the request of a West elementary parent who cited hazardous walking conditions along Briarwood Road from North Alto Vista to Butternut Drive.  Attached is a letter detailing the information regarding this request along with the results of the study.  Based upon the hazards outlined, the study has a score of 11.5 points.  12 points are needed to qualify.   At the board's discretion, a total of 2 points can be granted by the Board of Education, which would then qualify this area.

It is the administration's recommendation that the board approve the additional points for the area indicated.  Upon approval from the Board, the Serious Safety Hazard Finding will be submitted to the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for approval.  IDOT has 30 days to review and submit an approval or denial of the request.

Description:  As part of the public hearing for the 26/27 budget, the administration has provided:

Description:  Background
As part of the annual adoption of the budget, the Board of Education directs Administration to pay expenses from the Operations and Maintenance (Fund 20) fund.  The Illinois School Code, 105 ILCS, 5/17-7 allows for this type of expenditure.  A copy of the resolution is attached for your review.

Recommendation
It is the recommendation of the Administration that the Board of Education adopt the attached resolution authorizing, in part, the payment of custodian salaries, benefits, purchase services, utility costs, custodial supplies, equipment, and other expenditures as related to the district's building operations.

Description:  Background
As part of the annual adoption of the budget, the Board of Education directs the Administration to allocate Evidence-Based Funding to various funds to cover expenditures.   A copy of the resolution stating the allocation is attached for your review.

Recommendation
It is the recommendation of Adminstration that the Board of Education adopt the attached resolution authorizing and directing the Administration to make the allocation as presented.

Description:  Background
As part of the annual adoption of the budget and as the Administrative Agent of the Transportation Joint Agreement between District 47 & 155, the Board of Education approves the budget by which TJA will operate for FY27.  The budget has been discussed at the advisory board meeting and any adjustments needed have been reviewed by the administration from both districts.  Both districts then include their estimated portion of the expenditures within their district budget (Transportation fund) for the appropriate fiscal year.

Recommendation
It is that Administration's recommendation that the Board of Education approve the FY27 budget for TJA as presented.
