      Nicole Kriegl is retiring from her Middle School teaching position at Kingsford Middle School, effective July 1, 2026.

      Julie Watkins retiring from her Middle School teaching position at Kingsford Middle School, effective July 1, 2026.
      
     Dan Carey is retiring from his Middle School teaching position at Kingsford Middle School, effective July 1, 2026.

     Trina Allen is retiring from her Elementary teaching position at Woodland Elementary, effective July 1, 2026.

The Personnel Committee met to discuss open staff positions and hear the following hiring recommendations: 

It is the recommendation to hire Julie Richtig as the Executive Secretary in the KHS Counseling office, pending a satisfactory background check. (ACTION) 

b. Building, Grounds, Transportation Committee (To, Edwards, Andes) 2-6-2026
The Building, Grounds, Transportation Committee met to discuss the following:
1. Second grade Pod Remodel — Cabinetry Bid
2. Second grade Pod Remodel - Carpeting Bid
3. Zanardi Funds/Planning
4. ADA Doors Update

It is the recommendation to award the Second Grade Pod Cabinetry Project to Commercial Interiors, in the amount of $126,232.00. (ACTION)

It is the recommendation to award the Second Grade Pod Carpet project to Northern Flooring and Carpets, in the amount of $52,408.80 (ACTION)

It is the recommendation to use funds from Public Improvement, funds earmarked for the Flivver Field Legacy project in the amount of $58,550 to go towards track equipment with the remainder of those funds totaling $143, 587.00 being deposited into the Zanardi CDARS account. (ACTION)

An update was provided on installing ADA compliant doors across the district. 

c. Curriculum/Extra Curricular Committee (Smith, Edwards, To) 2-6-2026
The Curriculum/Extra Curricular Committee met to discuss the following:
1. New course offerings being proposed for 2026-2027 school year at KHS
2. A Literacy update was provided to the committee. A stand-alone meeting for this topic will be scheduled at a later date. 
3. The opportunity to have a KHS Trap Shooting Club was presented
4. MDE Changes with regard to Hunter's Safety and Firearm Safety were discussed. 

It is the recommendation to approve the addition of the following new KHS courses for the 2026-2027 school year (ACTION):
Integrated English 12
Business Technology and Digital Branding
Home Maintenance and Repair - update to be full year class
