November 11, 2025 Mountain Time - Study Session and Public Hearing

Two separate boundary changes are under consideration to balance enrollment in middle and high schools.
One would align middle and high school boundaries for the Midas Creek area. Schools impacted by this change include: Midas Creek Elementary, Copper Mountain Middle, Oquirrh Hills Middle, South Hills Middle, Herriman High, Riverton High, and Mountain Ridge High Schools. The second would impact schools in the northwest part of the District. Schools impacted by this change include: Copper Canyon Elementary, Sunset Ridge Middle, West Hills Middle, Elk Ridge Middle, Copper Hills High, Bingham High, and West Jordan High Schools.

The Board will take public comment in accordance with Board policy GP110 Public Participation at Board Meetings. Public comment will be taken in person; patrons may also submit their comments to boardcomments@jordandistrict.org before 3:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Public comments submitted via email will be read after hearing from those speakers attending the meeting. If a large number of patrons have signed up to speak, the Board may elect to adjust the time allocated to each speaker to allow more patrons the opportunity to be heard. During this hearing, the Board will take public comment for consideration of the boundary changes; however, no comments will be allowed regarding personnel issues or statements regarding the character, professional competence, and the physical or mental health of an individual.
