1.A. Initial Review of Boundary Survey Results
Description:
Mr. Michael Anderson, Associate Superintendent
Presentation of survey results in preparation for establishing boundaries for:
1) Boundary change affecting Jordan Ridge and South Jordan Elementary Schools 2) New elementary school in South Jordan with boundary changes potentially affecting Bastian and Golden Fields Elementary Schools 3) New elementary school in Herriman with boundary changes potentially affecting Bastian, Butterfield Canyon, Herriman and Silver Crest Elementary Schools
Desired outcome: Board members will review results in preparation for the Public Hearing. |
1.B. Continued Discussion on Housing and Enrollment
Description:

Board members will review and discuss enrollment projections.

1.C. Discussion on Possible Timing of a Future Bond

Description:

Board members will discuss activities affected by the pandemic.
Desired outcome: Board members will make decisions regarding activities and give staff direction, if needed. |

Time-Sensitive Pandemic Decisions

Discussion on decisions that need to be made for:
1) Semester changes 2) Field trips 3) Overnight travel 4) Charitable fundraisers 5) Choir and theater performances 6) Consideration of virtual learning from Thanksgiving through Christmas break.

Discussion on snow day make-up procedures and any changes for the current year.

Discussion on Licensed Educator Advisory Committee (LEAC)

Continued discussion on feedback from the September 2020 LEAC meetings.
Desired outcome: Board members will determine which feedback given by teachers in the last LEAC discussion will be prioritized for future LEAC discussions. |

Public Comments
Description:
Mr. Bryce Dunford, Board President
The Board will take public comment in accordance with Board policy GP110 Public Participation at Board Meetings. This is a public hearing for boundary changes only. No vote to determine boundaries will be taken at this meeting. Public comment will be taken in person; however, if a patron is uncomfortable coming in person given the current pandemic circumstances, she/he may submit her/his comment to boardcomments@jordandistrict.org before 3:00 pm the day of the meeting. Public comments submitted via email will be read after hearing from those speakers attending the meeting. In those situations where large groups of people attending the meeting in person desire to address the Board on the same subject, the President may request that those groups select only one or two speakers from the group to address the Board on behalf of the group and may be allocated up to six minutes to speak. The Board will not take public comment on other issues during this meeting, including personnel issues or statements regarding the character, professional competence, and the physical or mental health of an individual. |
