Public Content:  The Board of Education wishes to be responsive to the community and welcomes patrons at all meetings.  Requests to speak may be made when the board president asks if any visitors have items to bring to the attention of the board. 
Speakers are asked to limit their remarks to five (5) minutes or less, and groups with the same special interest may be

At the April 14th board meeting, a representative of LifeWise Academy requested the adoption of a policy in open session. The Superintendent contacted legal counsel, and counsel recommended USD 244 not adopt the requested policy.

Being no protest from the public, I am recommending the adoption of the Construction and Manufacturing curriculum materials.

Public Content:  Over the last several months, we have been researching an alternative to American Fidelity Employee Benefits Solutions. In the process, we conducted a staff survey to gain insight into what our employees desired from an employee benefit company.  
Kansas Board Solutions (KBS) offers the same benefits for employees, including supplemental insurance options with improved customer service.  
I recommend that the board approve KBS as our new 125 plan employee benefits provider.
