9. EXECUTIVE BOARD REPORT

Description: The Executive Board met on October 8, 2026. Those present included Dr. Daniel Sullivan from District 87, Dr. Victoria Stockton from District 88, Mr. Roshune Pechacek from District 92, Dr. Antonia Lippitt-Hill from District 93 and Mrs. Vanessa Schmitt from District 209.

Also present were Ms. Tiara Damper from District 88, Mr. Michael James, Ms. April Cohen, Ms. LaShonda McDaniel, and Mrs. Cecy Mendoza-Jurek from PAEC Administration.

The Executive Board reviewed and recommended approval of all action items on the agenda.

Dr. Victoria Stockton from District 88 will be the Executive Board Representative for the Governing Board Meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

10. DUPAGE/WEST COOK REPORT

11. COMMITTEE REPORTS

Description:

The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 10am.

Those present included Member District Superintendents and/or representatives, as well as their Business Managers/Finance Representative and PAEC Board Members Mrs. Dorothy Clark- Smith and Mrs. Rose Mason.

Also present were Mr. Michael James, Ms. April Cohen, Ms. LaShonda McDaniel, and Mrs. Cecy Mendoza-Jurek from PAEC Administration.

The meeting discussions were:

Treasurer’s Report: The committee reviewed the current treasurer’s report and discussed the financial position of PAEC.
Audit Update: An update was provided regarding the FY2026 audit and the upcoming audit activities.
Summer Billing: The committee discussed the summer billing process and related member district billing.
FY2027 Tuition Cost Sheets: The primary discussion focused on the tuition cost sheets. Committee members reviewed how to read and interpret the cost sheets, including understanding the different costs and allocations reflected on each district’s sheet.
District Questions and Concerns: The committee discussed having member districts submit their questions and concerns regarding the cost sheets through the designated Google Drive. This will provide a centralized location for questions so that PAEC can review each item and provide an appropriate response or clarification to the individual district.

16. MEETING RECAP

Description:

The Executive Board recommends to the Governing Board to approve the Linkage agreement with PLCCA.
The Executive Board recommends to the Governing Board to approve the Strategic Plan.
Dr. Cermak, President of Illinois School Psychologist Association (ISPA) and PAEC Psychologist Lead, featured his perspective in the latest ISPA newsletter.
PAEC is requesting that any potential IEP intake meetings or any IEP meetings that may discuss a student coming to PAEC, the principal of the program, be invited to the meeting.
The Executive Board completed the 1st reading of Press Plus 122 and suggested adjusting the additional amount of speaking time during public participation.
A parent of a student at the Academy came to the Governing Board meeting in September. A letter was sent to the parent in response to the concerns presented in the meeting.
The Executive Board requested that vouchers' itemized lists be included in the board packets.
