10. EXECUTIVE BOARD REPORT
Description:
The Executive Board meeting was held on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Those present included: Dr. Nicole Spatafore from District 87, Ms. Rosalind Banks from District #88, and Dr. Antonia Hill from District # 93.
Ms. Roshune Pechacek from District #92 arrived at 9:12am. Mr. Michael James, Ms. April Cohen, Ms. LaShonda McDaniel, and Mrs. Cecy Mendoza-Jurek from PAEC Administration was also present. The Executive Board reviewed and recommended approval of all action items on the agenda, with the stipulation to include Faiths Law in the presented agreements. District # 87 will be the Executive Board Representative for the Governing Board Meeting on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. |

16. MEETING RECAP
Description:
1) The Executive Board recommends to the Governing Board to approve the payment for the ongoing geothermal project. 2) On May 28th, PAEC had a Ground Breaking ceremony for the Geothermal construction project. This project is targeted to be completed by August 12th, 2026 before the return of staff and students in the fall. 3) The Amended FY2026 Budget Public Hearing will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM, before the PAEC Governing Board Meeting. 4) The FY 2027 Public Budget Hearing will be scheduled prior to the August Governing Board Meeting once the meeting dates have been established and approved for the 2026-2027 year. 5) The Executive Board completed the 2nd reading of Press Plus #121. 6) PAEC had their inaugural Recruitment Fair on June 6th, 2026 which was a resounding success! 7) Congratulations to Dr. Cermak as he begins his tenure as ISPA President! 8) As a part of expanding PAEC presence in the community, Mr. James, Ms. Cohen, Board President Mrs. Smith, and Board Secretary Mrs. Mason have met with community leaders including Congressman Danny K. Davis, State Representative LaShawn Ford, Maywood Mayor Nathaniel Booker, and Bellwood Andre Harvey. Last month, we were honored to meet with Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch. |
