Description:
RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT RESIGNATION OF SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST FOR RETIREMENT PURPOSES AND TO REHIRE SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
WHEREAS, Mr. Timothy McQuade has provided valuable service to the Wauseon Exempted Village School District as School Psychologist; and WHEREAS, Mr. McQuade has made contributions to the State Teachers Retirement System ("STRS") continuously throughout his service as an educator in Ohio, and is now eligible to receive STRS benefits based upon his prior service and contributions; and WHEREAS, Ohio Revised Code Section 3307.35 permits a teacher, administrator or superintendent to initiate service retirement benefits while remaining in the employment of his School District, provided benefits are forfeited for the first two (2) months of reemployment; and WHEREAS, Mr. McQuade is entitled by law to initiate his earned benefits at any time, but does not wish to leave the service of the Wauseon Exempted Village School District in order to initiate these earned benefits; and WHEREAS, this Board of Education wishes to retain the services of Mr. McQuade as School Psychologist, and believes that retaining Mr. McQuade as School Psychologist will be highly beneficial to the School District by maintaining continuity of management, avoiding the costs and uncertainties of a search, and, most importantly, allowing the School District to continue to benefit from the extensive knowledge, experience, and leadership abilities of Mr. McQuade. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: SECTION I The Board of Education hereby accepts the resignation of Mr. McQuade, submitted for purposes of initiating earned retirement benefits, retroactive to June 1, 2026. SECTION II The Board of Education hereby reemploys Mr. McQuade for a period of 1 year commencing on August 1, 2026, and ending on July 31, 2027, such reemployment to be under the terms and conditions set forth in his contract. SECTION III IT IS FOUND AND DETERMINED that all formal action of this Board of Education concerning or related to the adoption of this Resolution was adopted in an open meeting of this Board, and all deliberations of this Board that resulted in such formal action were adopted in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all applicable requirements of the Ohio Revised Code. |

XI. Real Estate Purchase Agreement
Description:
Authorizing the Execution of a Real Estate
Purchase Agreement and Closing Thereon (Ohio Revised Code §3313.17 and §3313.37) WHEREAS, Thomas C. Yackee (the "Seller") is the record owner of certain real property located at 5573, 5595, 5741 County Road 13, Wauseon, Ohio 43567 which is identified as Fulton County Parcel Numbers: 05-007984-00.000, 05-007984-01.000 and 05-007984-02.000 (the "Property"); WHEREAS, said property is immediately adjacent to the campus for the Wauseon Exempted Village School District and is believed suitable for expansion of said campus; WHEREAS, Seller and the Board have come to an agreement as to a purchase price and the terms and conditions for the acquisition of the property by the Board; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board as follows:
