13. Approve the 2026-2028 MSEA Contract for Paraprofessionals - Action
Speaker(s):
Jamie Frank
Description:
On July 14, in a single meeting, the district and the MSEA Para Union reached a tentative agreement for 7.1%, or $138,673, over two years.
On August 5, the union ratified the contract. This settlement included a 5% increase in health insurance, a $100 increase in 403(b) contributions, a $1-per-hour increase for Setting III room paras, and the rest in salary. Thank you to Board Members Jones and Steffens as well as the MSEA Negotiations team for a collaborative, and enjoyable negotiation session. |

15. Approve Adult Meal Prices for the 2026-2027 Regular School Year - Action
Speaker(s):
Holly Anderson
Description:
Each year, the School Board is required to review and approve adult meal prices for the upcoming school year. For the 2026-2027 school year, we are recommending that the adult meal prices remain unchanged from the 2025-2026 school year at $3.00 for breakfast and $6.00 for lunch. These rates continue to exceed the minimum adult meal prices established by MDE.

16. Review Estimated Cash Flow report for FY2027 (2026-2027) - Informational
Speaker(s):
Holly Anderson
Description:
This is the preliminary cash flow report for FY2027 - this is brought to the board for review approximately 3 times per year - but is monitored monthly by the Business Manager. At this time, unless something major happens, our cash flow is adequate to meet all of our obligations and there is no need to have any Aid of Anticipation Certificates (AAC). Last time an AAC was done was back in 2011. This shows good financial strength for our district.
