IV. Consider and approve the following Superintendent Goals for the 2026-27 school year:
1. Work with principals, directors, teachers and parents to see that 80% of the students in Lewis County Schools show an increase in test scores from the 2025-2026 school year.
2. Work with the Board of Education, the legislators (state and national) to put in place a plan to: (A) Move forward with repairs to the Middle School that will ensure a safe and healthy environment without future fiscal hardship to Lewis County Schools or (B) A framework for a plan for a new school.
3. Work with the Board of Education to start a process of communicating with the students, employees, parents and community about the budget issues, staffing process and the flood updates through frequent communications, Biweekly Board Reports, Question and answer sessions at LSIC meetings and Faculty Senate Meetings.
4. Finish the 2026-27 school year budget in the black. 
 

V. Finance

V.A. Consider and approve Tetrick and Bartlett, PLLC to audit the Financial Statements for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2026.

VII. Executive Session: Under Authority in West Virginia Code Section (b)(9) and (b)(12)...to discuss potential strategic initiatives relating to financial priorities for the Lewis County Board of Education; confidential and deliberative information on draft FY27 budgets; the potential investment of public funds and o their deliberative matters involving commercial competition which, if made public, might adversely affect the financial or other interest of the Lewis County Board of Education.
