We have come to the item on the agenda for Public Comment. Public comments are limited to three (3) minutes per person. At this time, the Board President will call on those who have requested to make Public Comments. Please understand that the Board will not respond to comments made during Public Comment but may direct the Superintendent to address the matter at a later time. 

Any members of the public who would like to be considered for the Burnham 154.5 School Board? 

Description:  The School Board President Pro Tem is a board member elected or appointed to preside over school board meetings in the absence of the Board President. This individual assumes the duties of the president only when necessary and continues to serve as a regular board member at all other times.

Description: 

1. Board President

Primary Role: The chief officer and leader of the board.
Key Duties:

• Presides over board meetings and ensures orderly conduct.

• Calls special meetings as needed.

• Signs official documents on behalf of the board.

• Acts as spokesperson for the board (unless otherwise delegated).

• Works closely with the superintendent to set meeting agendas.

2. Vice President

Primary Role: Supports the president and assumes leadership when the president is absent.
Key Duties:

• Presides over meetings in the absence of the president.

• May assume other duties as assigned by the board.

• Often involved in committee leadership or special projects.

3. Secretary

Primary Role: Oversees the documentation and official records of the board.
Key Duties:

• Ensures minutes of board meetings are accurately recorded and maintained.

• Signs official board documents as required.

• May be responsible for board correspondence and maintaining records of policies and resolutions.

Description:  Motion to go into Closed Session at _____, pursuant to Section 2 (c) (1) (2) of the Open Meetings Act, for the purposes of consideration of the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees and matters related to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. (ACTION REQUESTED after the closed session) *Secretary - please ensure that the closed session is being recorded.
