2.1. Approve the Transportation contract bids.
Discussion:
Transportation bids were due at 9am on May, 15, 2024. We received 2 bids, one from Clark Transportation and one from 4.0 School Services. Attached you will find the summary of the bids.
The bids have been reviewed by the transportation committee consisting of Wade McKittrick, Adam Spray, Travis Birhanzl, and Becky Pauling. A side by side comparison of the bids occurred to ensure both bids met bid specifications. Both did. Financials showed the following: Clark Transportation bid was 9% in year 1 and 7% in year 2. The total dollar increase over FY24 is projected at $79,705.60 in year 1 and an additional $70,018.80 in year 2 for a total 2 year increase of $149,724. 4.0 School Services bid was 2% in year 1 and 0% in year 2. The total dollar increase over FY24 is projected at $14,109.95 in year 1 and an additional $0 in year 2 for a total 2-year increase of $14,109.95. The 2-year cost differential in bids is $135,614.05 and the 2-year bid cash flow differential over FY24 is $201,210.10 After careful consideration, the committee is recommending acceptance of the 4.0 School Services transportation bid pending operational agreement between 4.0 School Services and the transportation committee.
