9.2. Approval of Strategic Actions Benchmarks for the 2023-24 School Year

The development of 916’s annual Strategic Actions benchmarks began with a comprehensive review of the district's mission and values statements in 2021, as well as an analysis of key performance indicators and educational trends. Input is solicited from key stakeholders through surveys, environmental scans, and focus groups to ensure a well-rounded perspective. The resulting draft of the 2023-2024 strategic action benchmarks encapsulates the collective aspirations of the stakeholders and aligns with the district's commitment to excellence in education.
Recommended Motion(s):
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board approve the 2023-2024 Strategic Action Benchmarks for the upcoming school year. These benchmarks reflect the district's commitment to continuous improvement and its dedication to providing an exceptional, individualized education for all students.

9.3. Approval of Joint Powers Agreement with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and Century College

The joint powers agreement outlines the offering of concurrent enrollment courses. It describes the structure; Northeast Metro 916 provides the faculty to teach the courses and Century College provides the coursework for the concurrent enrollment courses. Century College also provides faculty mentors to Northeast Metro 916 faculty.
Recommended Motion(s):
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board authorize the administration to execute a joint powers agreement with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities on behalf of Century College related to the concurrent enrollment courses at the Northeast Metro 916 Career & Technical Center for the 2023-24 School Year.

9.4. Approval of Building Construction Joint Powers Agreement between the City of North St. Paul and Career & Technical Center

The City of North St. Paul has agreed to joint construction of a single dwelling home at 2170 Eldridge Ave East, North St. Paul, with the Career & Technical Center Construction Occupations students under the supervision of Tom Spehn.
Recommended Motion(s):
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board approve the Building Construction Joint Powers Agreement with the City of North St. Paul for the project and location listed above for the 2023-24 school year.

9.5. Substitute Retired Teacher Rates for the 2023-24 School Year

The School Board approved the Substitute Teacher, Education Assistant Specialist and Education Assistant rates for the 2023-2024 school year with services provided by Teachers on Call at the August board meeting. Rates for retired teachers are corrected as follows: Retired Teacher Full Day: $210 Retired Teacher Half Day: $105 Retired Teacher Long Term Substitute Full Day: $260 Retired Teacher Long Term Substitute Half Day: $130
Recommended Motion(s):
The Superintendent recommends that the School Board approve the corrected rates for retired teachers for the 2023-2024 school year with services provided by Teachers on Call.
