1. Call to Order and Introductions/Attendance
Description:
The Chair will call the meeting to order and take the attendance of all persons present to enter into the minutes.

2. Purpose of the Committee and Norms
Description:
The Board of Education establishes the Parent-Teacher Advisory and Behavioral Interventions Committee pursuant to Board Policy 2:150. This committee fulfills the responsibilities of both the Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee and the Behavioral Interventions Committee. The committee assists in the development, review, and monitoring of student behavior policies and procedures, and provides information and recommendations to the Board. Its work includes, but is not limited to, student discipline, behavioral interventions in alignment with Board Policy 7:230, disruptive classroom behavior, school bus safety procedures, reciprocal reporting with law enforcement, administering medication in schools, and the dissemination of student conduct information. Membership shall include parents/guardians and teachers, and may include individuals with relevant expertise or experience. |

6. Recommendations to the Board of Education
Description:
The Chair will solicit input from attendees to develop recommendations for the Board of Education.

7. Public Comments
Description:
The purpose of this meeting is to allow for dialogue with families and staff; however The Open Meetings Act requires a Public Comment portion of any meeting that falls under The Act. This portion of the meeting is set aside to meet this requirement under The Act. Individuals wishing to speak during public comment must complete the Public Comment Form and submit it to the Chair prior to the start of the meeting. Members of the public may speak during this portion of the meeting. Comments are limited to three minutes. Once the meeting has started, additional requests to participate during Public Comments will not be recognized. The Chair will not respond to public comments or questions during "Public Comments" but may follow up with individuals following the meeting.
