4.e. Action: Change to Employee Health Insurance
Description:
After reviewing plan offerings provided by the IERMP with representatives from both associations, the recommendation is to offer the $2500/100 plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield for the plan period starting January 1, 2025. This plan design has been the same for several years. The district pays 91% of single employee coverage of the base plan. Currently, the District pays $579.67/month/covered employee, and it will increase to $682.50/month/covered employee, which represents an increase of 17.7%. In addition, we will continue to provide healthcare reimbursement to employees for the last $250.00 of the individual deductible. Our additional insurance offerings through The Standard for Dental, Vision, and Life and iSolved for other supplemental offerings will remain the same. There is no increase in the district expenditure on the dental, vision, and life benefits they provide when compared to last year. This continues the Board's commitment to offer competitive compensation and benefits for our employees. See the attached document for pricing information.
