4. School Construction Legislation

Forgot to include this with Friday Memo. The General Assembly approved the school construction legislation with our extension; I do not know if the governor has signed this yet.
Attached is the first page of SB 1406, the school construction grant legislation (you don't need the rest) and the Senate amendment (LCO # 9608) that lists approvals for "notwithstanding" legislation. Section 505 (bottom of the second page) gives us the extension until June 2008 to start construction. Full text of the legislation is available on the CGA website. |
