2. School Resource Officer Program Report
Rationale:
There were statutory changes required in the SRO MOU specifically regarding reporting procedures, SRO involvement in disciplinary matters and restraint, and school-based arrests. All the recommended changes and language adjustments were made by the Board's attorneys at Shipman and Goodwin. The Police Commission reviewed and approved the revised MOU at their November meeting and the Board of Education approved the SRO MOU at their December meeting.
This joint meeting is to present a report on the SRO program.
