Rationale:
In the spring, we surveyed our staff to get input on parental support for academic, social and behavioral outcomes. This data gauged parental perception on a variety of topics including: (1) academic support; (2) use of technology; (3) communication based on respect; (4) peer interactions and support of misbehavior.

2. Engagement for Student Success - Literacy Message

Rationale:
At our retreat, the Board of Education wanted to develop strategies in increase parental engagement, particularly in literacy. Since that retreat, the Administration has met to begin to discuss strategies which will be shared at the meeting.
The Committee should determine, what, if any role they want to take in assisting the district in communicating messages to parents. |
