2. BHS HVAC Grant Education Specifications - Approval
Rationale:
The Bethel Board of Education has directed the administration to apply for the Office of School Construction, HVAC grant for Bethel High School. The Board will be reviewing and approving the Educational Specifications for the project. Educational Specifications are a part of the application to the Department of Administrative Services, Office of School Construction. The purpose of the Educational Specifications is to provide a brief overview of the instructional and community programs and the environment required to support those needs.
With approval from Richard Straiton, Acting First Selectman, and Cynthia, McCorkindale, Board of Finance Chair, we have scheduled a joint meeting of the Board of Finance and Board of Selectmen on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. At this meeting, we will need to approve the application for us to apply for the grant and commit to scheduling a referendum prior to January 31st. |

2.A. BHS HVAC Grant Cost Estimates
Rationale:
Mrs. Variale and STV will be presenting the revised scope and have the cost estimates, to include eligible and ineligible expenses and wanted to provide the Board of Education with the opportunity to ask any additional questions regarding the project.

Congratulations to the newest Dr. at BHS, Dr. Tom Fox. Dr. Fox successfully defended his dissertation, and we are extremely proud of his achievement!
