This policy is being reviewed as part of the overall policy review. This policy has not been reviewed since 2005. Upon review of this policy, I referred it to our attorney, Rebecca Santiago, due to some legal concerns. The suggestions made in this policy are directly from our attorney. 2.A. Policy 1000 - Community Relations: Concepts, Goals and Roles in Community Relations

As part of our overall policy review, as has been previously communicated, we are starting with review of all policies in the 1000 series. This policy was last reviewed in 2010 and sets the frame for community relationships with the Board and district. Upon review of the policy, I have made some suggested changes and comments regarding the clarity of some of the statements. This is the second reading.

3. Discussion - Regulation 6151 - Class Size
Rationale:
At the February 18th Board meeting the Board "approved Policy 6151 - Class Size, with the caveat, that the administration creates regulation regarding class size ranges as discussed in committee." The proposed regulation is being submitted for purposes of discussion and input.
