Rationale:
Per our discussion at our last Board of Education Meeting, the attached job description is shifting the Director of Instructional Technology position to the Supervisor of Digital Literacy. The job description provides a redline overview of the suggested changes.

1.B. Appointment of the Supervisor of Digital Learning
Rationale:
We previously shared with you that we conducted an interview committee for the vacancy of Director of Instructional Technology (Supervisor of Digital Learning) beginning last January. We had 27 applicants for the position (not all were eligible for the position). The process included three rounds. The first round was screening interviews. The committee then narrowed it down to three candidates, who were presented with a performance task. After the performance task, only one candidate was selected. Reference checks have been completed.
In each round, the committee was unanimous in moving forward the recommended candidate, Mrs. Donna Burns. As you will note from her resume, Mrs. Burns is a former employee who has an extensive background in instructional technology and has been working for the past several years as an Technology Integration Specialist for the New Canaan Public Schools. Knowing the depth of her skills, we are thrilled that she wants to return to yhe Bethel Public Schools.
