Rationale:
Importance to the Board: Develop Goals in collaboration with the Administration that are focused on improving Student Achievement.
Key Points/Elements: Use current Goals as core elements in developing 2013-2014 Goals, which should be: • focused on improving Student Achievement as their primary purpose • stretch and require quality execution • achievable and part of an on-going and longer-term effort to make significant inroads on student learning • measurable with progress milestones markers • assessed and progress reported to the Board at least twice during the school year Summary: The Board and Central Office Administrative team will collaboratively develop annual Goals at the beginning of each school year. District personnel will take responsibility for achieving these Goals thereby fulfilling the District”s primary purpose to “improve Student Achievement.” Cost: None What is Requested of the Board: To work with the Administration in developing meaningful and measurable District Performance Goals for the 2013-2014 school year. Results will become a part of annual Performance Evaluations.
