Please take note of the enrollment report as we have had some changes in enrollment since June. In-house enrollment is now 1266.

I will report on the opening of school including our Convocation and professional development days.

As a reminder, if you have not done so already, please contact Jeanne to sign up for the annual CABE-CAPSS convention on November 17-18, 2017.

Administrator negotiations begin in October.  We are finalizing dates for meetings and expect to be done before Thanksgiving.

We have changed our delivery of SAT prep at LOLHS and are now working with a different provider to present material to smaller classroom sized groups based on student PSAT scores with targeted strategies specific to those students' needs.

As you are aware, we completed the refunding of some of our bonds and were able to achieve a budgetary savings over the next twelve years of $932,351.25 with this refunding.

Rationale:  Although our Strategic Plan guides our long term vision, the Board and administration have annually developed more specific yearly goals for the district. These goals are attached for your review and approval. This requires Board action.

Rationale: 

Background:  In this year’s facility budget, we included the purchase and installation of campus signs. This project includes:

• Replacement signs in front of Mile Creek and Lyme Consolidated.
• New entry signs at the Center School and High School entrances.
• Replacing the existing High School entry sign by the tennis courts with a sign which includes a digital display.

Because this project required the school district to work with various sign designers, this project was not publicly bid. However, we requested proposals from four sign vendors but only received three responses.  Results are listed below:
