Consider action to approve the Architecture Firm Rankings for future potential projects

After the RCISD Board approves those rankings, the Superintendent and legal counsel will negotiate a contract and compensation. The negotiation will start with the highest ranked first. If we come to an impasse, then we cease negotiations with that firm and move to the next highest rank firm. Once an agreement has been achieved, the final contract with the architectural firm will brought back for Board Approval at a subsequent board meeting.

I move to approve and adopt the ranking of the two highest ranking responders as proposed by administration, Number One Jacob Martin, and Number Two LBL, and move that the Board delegate to the Superintendent the authority to (1) negotiate with the top-ranked proposer, and (2) to formally end negotiations with a proposer and begin negotiating with the next ranked proposer as provided by law, and to bring any negotiated contract back to the Board for consideration.
