5. Open Forum for Public Participation
Description:
Persons in attendance at the meeting may request a card to be completed and submitted to the Board President no later than five (5) minutes prior to the meeting. This provides the individual with an opportunity to address the Board on any subject except personnel. Public participation is limited to this portiuon of the meeting and the audience may not enter into discussion of debate matters being considered by the Board at any other time during the meeting. The Board will allot up to thirty (30) minutes for this portion of the agenda with no presentations to exceed five (5) minutes.

12.A. Consider Adding exception to the 2006 International Building Code section 705.2
Description:
*IBC Section 705.2; add exceptions to read as follows:
Exception: When necessary to install a two- or three-hour fire wall of not more than two stories in height in an existing building, a fire-resistant wall of the same rating, as specified in Table 705.4, that encapsulates a structural column line may be accepted.
2. When necessary to install a two- or three-hour fire wall of not more than two stories in height between an existing building and a new addition, a double fire wall, one on the existing building and one on the new building, both of the required fire rating, as specified in Table 705.4, may be acceptable. Fire doors may be installed in one of the walls with a water curtain installed at the opening of the other wall. |
