7.A. Consideration/Possible Action of Superintendent Recommendations Regarding Renewal of Probationary Contract Employees; Renewal of Teachers and other Professional Certified Certified Term Contract Employees; and Re-issue of Employees on Non-Chapter 21 Contracts and part-time contracts.

7.B. Consideration and/possible Action regarding Superintendent Recommendations to hire Assistant Superintendent for Leading and Learning, Executive Director for Federal Programs and Leading and Learning, Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, and Junior High School Principal.
Description:
The Superintendent recommends hiring the Assistant Superintendent for Leading and Learning, Executive Director for Federal Programs and Leading and Learning, Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, and Junior High School Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. However, for planning and development, starting dates may be flexible prior to the July 1 date.

7.C. Consideration and possible action to approve revisions to Policy DEC(LOCAL).
Description:
Administration is continually seeking methods by which to increase employee retention in Tulia ISD. Currently, each employee earns three paid local leave days per school year in accordance with administrative regulations.
Administration recommends we increase the paid local leave days to five (5) per school year in accordance with administrative regulations. |

7.D. Consideration and/possible Action to Approve Revisions to the Policy DC(LOCAL).
Description:
Currently the Board retains final authority for employment of contractual personnel; however, from June 1 to August 31, the Board delegates to the Superintendent the authority to employ contractual personnel.
The revision to policy DC(LOCAL) will allow for the Board to delegate to the Superintendent the authority to employ contractual personnel below campus level administrator. This would allow the Superintendent to hire contractual personnel below administrator levels - teachers, diagnosticians, etc. The Superintendent shall inform the Board of any persons hired under this authority. |
