I. Call to Order

I.A. Announcement by the chairman whether a quorum is present and that the meeting had been duly called, and that notice of the meeting had been posted in the time and manner required by law.

II. Public Hearing concerning whether to continue taxing personal property in transit.

III. Sub-Committee Report

III.A. Consider approving the minutes of the October 8, 2007 regular meeting.

IV. First Order of Business (Consent Agenda)

IV.A. The Board will consider approval of second and final reading of the (LOCAL) policies in TASB Update 81.

IV.B. The Board will consider approval of second and final reading of FDA (LOCAL) Admissions: Interdistrict Transfers.

IV.C. The Board will consider accepting the AISD Shotwell Complex financial report for 2006-07.

IV.D. The Board will consider approving an additional designation of fund balance for Shotwell improvements.

V. Regular Agenda

V.A. Report on District Goal Two: AISD will stress continuous improvement in academic achievement; secondary school students will receive the necessary skills to prepare for high school and a strong foundation of support in ninth grade enabling them to be successful and graduate in four years.

V.B. Report and consider approval of Prevailing Wage Rates for construction projects not subject to federal requirements.

V.C. Report and consider approval of Prevailing Wage Rates for construction subject to federal requirements.

V.D. The Board will consider approval of resolution to continue taxing personal property in transit.

V.E. The Board will consider casting votes on candidate for the Board of Directors of the Jones County Appraisal District.

VI. Closed Session: A closed session may be held under the provisions of Texas Government Code, Chapter 551 including but not limited to Section 551.071, Section 551.072, Section 551.074, Section 551.076, Section 551.082(a), and Section 551.083.

VI.A. The Board may discuss the Place 2 vacancy on the Board.

VII. Reconvene From Closed Session for Action Relevant to Items Covered During Closed Session.
