NOTICE - PERTAINING TO MEETING BY VIDEO CONFERENCE

A meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Bryan Independent School District will be held April 1, 2020, beginning at 11:00 A.M.  Pursuant to Governor Abbott’s Temporary Suspension of Open Meetings Laws issued on March 16, 2020, this meeting will be conducted via videoconference, which will be audible to the Board and public and allow for two-way communication for the Board and District administration.  The Board President, presiding officer or trustees will not all be physically present at one location but a quorum will be required for the meeting on the videoconference.  The public may access the meeting by calling the following telephone number 1(888) 475 4499 and entering the following  Meeting ID: 262 615 071.   An electronic copy of the agenda packet may be viewed at the following link

The Board will be allowing public comment / citizen participation to be made in an alternative format.  If you wish to address the Board of Trustees on either an item on the agenda or a non-agenda topic, you must send an email to bisd_digitalmeeting@bryanisd.org ten minutes prior to the beginning of the meeting.  In your email, please state your name and the subject matter of your comment.  When the Board reaches the Public Comment/Citizen Participation item on the agenda, the Superintendent will read all comments aloud for the Board to hear.  The content of your written comments cannot exceed 3 minutes when read aloud. To the extent practicable, all other public comment rules will be followed.

Items will not necessarily be discussed or considered in the order they are printed on the agenda below. If, during the course of the meeting, discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in an executive or closed session, the Board will convene in such executive or closed session as permitted by and in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
