ACTION AGENDA

The Board will consider and possibly take action on the Superintendent's recommendation to select East Texas Advanced Academies, a Texas nonprofit organization, to partner with the District to operate and manage the J.L. Everhart Elementary and to authorize the Superintendent to take any action as appropriate or necessary as previously authorized for other campus charters, including (i) negotiating the Management Agreement and Performance Contract, (ii) amending and/or granting an in-district charter, (iii) applying for any waiver from TEA on the statutory numerical ceiling related to enrollment at in-district charter schools, and (iv) applying for any Senate Bill (SB) 1882 benefits.

The Board will consider and possibly take action on the Superintendent's recommendation to transfer existing charters for Bramlette STEAM Academy, East Texas Montessori Prep Academy, and Ware East Texas Montessori Academy to East Texas Advanced Academies, a Texas nonprofit organization, to partner with the District to operate and manage these campuses and to authorize the Superintendent to take any action as appropriate or necessary as previously authorized for other campus charters, including (i) negotiating the Management Agreement and Performance Contract, (ii) amending and/or granting an in-district charter, (iii) applying for any waiver from TEA on the statutory numerical ceiling related to enrollment at in-district charter schools, and (iv) applying for any Senate Bill (SB) 1882 benefits.
