6.A.1. The next Regular School Board Meeting is scheduled for September 9, 2024.  In our July Regular School Board Meeting, we discussed having a Called Meeting to adopt the 2024-25 Operating Budget on August 26th at 5:30pm. This is the date published for the Public Notice of Tax Rate Adoption. We may need to have a Called Meeting on August 30th to approve any last minute budget amendments to the 2023-34 School Year budget.

7.A. Consider action to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting that was held on July 11, 2024. 

7.B. Consider action to order the School Board Election for Single-Member Districts 3, 4 and 5 on November 5, 2024 and to authorize the Superintendent to enter into all contracts and agreements to effect such an election. 

7.C. Consider action to approve the Notice of Public Meeting to discuss and approve the 2024-25 Budget and the 2024 Tax Rate.

7.D. Consider action to approve adult meal pricing for the 2024-2025 School Year.

7.E. Consider action to approve the 2024-2025 Ballinger ISD Student Code of Conduct.

7.F. Consider action to approve the 2024-2025 Ballinger ISD Employee Handbook.

7.G. Consider action to approve the 2024-2025 T-TESS Calendar and Appraisers.

7.H. Consider action to approve the application for the Optional Flexible School Day Program at Ballinger High School.

7.K. Consider action to approve an increase in salary for teachers/counselors with more than 20 years experience for the 2024-25 school year. 

7.L. Consider action to increase the Ballinger ISD financial contribution to employee health Insurance.  It is currently set at $295/month.

7.M. Consider action to approve the resolution and agreement to recognize 4-H as an extracurricular activity and County Extension Agents as adjunct BISD Faculty staff members for the 2024-25 school year.

7.N. Consider action to approve possible budget amendments.

8. Executive Session

8.A. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 552.0821, deliberation and possible action regarding a matter involving a public school student which may reveal personally identifiable information about the student. 

8.B. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 551.074, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. 

8.C. Ratify the resignations of employees that have been received by the Superintendent

8.D. Pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.076, to deliberate matters of school safety and security

8.E. Pursuant to Texas Government Code Sections 551.071 and 551.129, consultation  with legal counsel as permitted by law.

9. Return to open meeting and take any action deemed necessary upon discussion in the closed meeting.
