VII.G.2. Authorize accepting anonymous donations to the Child Nutrition Department for outstanding student debt for the following:
$1,000.00 to West Wortham - student cafeteria balances $811.50 to Woolmarket Elementary - student cafeteria balances $1,500.00 to West Wortham - student cafeteria balances |
VII.G.3. Authorize to accept donation in the amount of $700.00 from Mississippi Power Foundation to Crossroads Elementary School for the MS Power Environmental Grant.

VII.G.4. Bids for Band Uniforms for Harrison Central High School were opened and publicly read on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Superintendent's office with bidders listed as follows:
Fred J. Miller $663.00 base bid per uniform. Stanbury Co. - No Bid Award contract to Fred J. Miller, the lowest bidder meeting specifications. As per recommendation from Dell Trotter, HCHS Band Director, and Dwight Hollingsworth, HCSD Music Supervisor, purchase necessary items to complete uniform and delete additional items, which will total $558.00 per uniform. |
VII.G.5. Bids for Timber Sale on 16th Section Land (16-5S-12W) were opened and publicly read on Monday, February 6, 2023, with bidders listed as follows:
Pearl River Land & Timber Approve request from Sam Morgan, Area Forester, Mississippi Forestry Commission, to reject bids received due to the low number of sale bids and the offer of the sale. Authorize to re-advertise bids for April 2023. |
VII.G.6. Approve request extending homebound services for North Gulfport student # 11791, due to medical condition. Documentation is provided and on file.

VII.G.7. Approve request allowing organization of the Buddies Café at West Harrison High School and adopt by-laws for the club.

VII.G.14. Approve 16th Section Land lease with Campground Baptist Church for property located on Highway 53, Township 6 South, Range 12 West, Harrison County. The lease includes the original property with acreage recently added and re-appraised. The new combined annual rent is $12,500.00 and includes the CPI rent option.(with additional acreage to existing lease). (EBJ)

VII.G.18. Approve annual premium at binding in the amount of $4,405,461.00 for property insurance coverage and $60,210.00 for flood coverage with Cadence Insurance. It is noted, the Board authorized Mitchell King, Superintendent to negotiate the premiums presented on January 23, 2023. The reflects the total amount after negotiations and for coverage through January 2024. (EG)

VII.G.19. Approve request from Coast Electric Power Association ofr use of Lyman Elementary as a staging area in the event of a hurricane during the 2023 season. (DB)

VII.G.20. Approve request allowing Gulfport Department of Leisure Services use of facilities at Harrison Central Elementary, Three Rivers Elementary, and Bel-Aire Elementary for their annual summer camps. Start date June 5, 2023 and ending on July 21, 2023. (DB)
